Components per tablet :

Calcium Carbonate 250 mg

Calcium is the most common and abundant mineral in the human body. It is needed for healthy bones and teeth and is essential for normal activity of heart, nerves, muscles, clotting of blood…Contrary to popular belief, fixation of the absorbed calcium is more important than the amount of calcium ingested.

Vitamin D3 - 400UI

78% of the European population has low level of Vitamin D and even Vitamin D deficiency at the end of winter. Vitamin D is produced in the skin in response to exposure to ultraviolet radiation from natural sunlight but not in sufficient quantity. Food sources of Vitamin D like the egg yolk (rich in cholesterol), the fatty and smoked fishes from Scandinavia and the cod liver oil are not sufficient sources too. However, vitamin D is essential for proper calcium transport in the body.

Inulin - 500 mg

Inulin is a FOS (Fructo-oligosaccharide), i.e. a non-caloric and non-fermentable sugar. It is a prebiotic which stimulates the growth of friendly bacteria (the probiotics). Probiotics live in harmony in the human intestinal tract of our digestive system, support maintenance of our intestinal mucus membrane and in general help in the digestion and absorption of nutrients including calcium.
Inulin is also bifidogenic: it stimulates the growth of Bifidobacterium Bifidum (BB), those famous bacteria found in dairy products which inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria. 
It also has effects on metabolic acidosis which promotes hypercalciuria, a condition in which there is an excessive increase in urinary calcium excretion. 
Inulin is extracted from chicory roots and is non-toxic according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. In this country, inulin is added in the milk drunk by adults and children. In France, the French Food Safety Agency (AFSSA) recognizes the role of Bifidobacterium Bifidum in human health.

Silicon - 5 mg

Silicon is involved in several physiological activities. It is essential for the normal growth, development, and integrity of bones, joints and connective tissue as well as for hair, skin, nails and cartilage. It has been demonstrated that silicon, taken in addition with calcium and vitamin D, has beneficial effects on bone health.

Directions for use

Take 1 tablet per day with your main meal.

We recommend taking Nutros™ regularly over a sustained period of time in order to obtain and maintain positive results.

As all Calcium/Vitamin D food supplements, Nutros™ should not be taken in the following cases :

• Hypercalcemia

• Regular kidney stones

• Allergy to one of the components
